Earlier, reports showed that Alexander von Furstenberg, the son of the iconic fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg and step-son of media mogul Barry Diller, hired a plane to fly on a California beach, trailing a huge banner.
Alexander is Co-Managing Member and Chief Investment Officer of Arrow Capital Management, a private investment firm focused on global public equities. Since 2001, Alex von Furstenberg served as Chief Investment Officer of Arrow Investments, Inc., a private investment firm that Diller – von Furstenberg Family needs.
Alexander is currently a director and secretary of the Diller – von Furstenberg Family Foundation. The Foundation is managed by Alex, his mother, Diane von Furstenberg, his stepfather, Barry Diller, the CEO of IAC / InterActiveCorp, and his sister, Tatiana von Furstenberg.
Environmental organization, Heal the Bay recently announced a major partnership with Alex von Furstenberg, Avid kite-surfer and chief investment officer of Arrow Capital Management.
As an active resident of Malibu and a kite-surfer, he spends much time in the ocean. After meeting Heal the Bay President Mark Gold and hearing about the financial needs of a critical public health protection service, Alex von Furstenberg an immediate commitment of time and resources on the Beach Report Card.
Heal the Bay, the site also features a Beach Report Card is an interactive California beach ensure that indicates the current status of the water.
There is actually something about the beautiful banner von Furstenberg’s maneuver. Critics say attacks on Miller von Furstenberg unfounded, and that was actually initiated contact with Kay that the former Indiana Pacer by him risqué photos of herself. These same opponents also wrong von Furstenberg for the use of the term Married Women in its aerial release, pointing out that Kay is not technically married, just engaged.
What is worth recognizing von Furstenberg ingenuity in the use of an airplane to solve an otherwise simple spat? Less creative souls would have directly confronted Miller, and Kay only reprimanded for inciting a jealous rage. But von Furstenberg not pedestrians macho impulses, he treated the matter with humor and in a manner appropriate to a bachelor of its resources.
Fights were conducted in a more formal and sporty fashion then. Instead of played down conflicts were recognized as matters of honor. Alexander von Furstenberg understands the significance of such bravado, and managed to save for a moment vanishing spirit. It is an age worthy of review.
